He lived in High Street, Arbroath, Forfarshire (Angus), Scotland in 1861. Aged 10, Scholar, of Dundee. Living in the household of mother Annie Crichton aged 30, married Dyer, of Brechin, Forfarshire, with brother Alexander Crichton aged 8, Scholar, of Dundee, brother James Crichton aged 6, Scholar, of Dundee, servant Isabella Fife aged 50, Domestic Servant, of Dundee, and servant William Lodge aged 29, unmarried Dyer, of Aberdeen.
