My 3rd great grandfather

James Inglis born about 1835 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland to

James married Isabella Hamilton on 24 July 1857 in High Church, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

He lived in Gallowgate Street, St Johns, High Church, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1861. Aged 26, Wright, of Glasgow. Living with him: wife Isabella Inglis aged 24, of Glasgow, daughter Isabella Inglis aged 2, of Glasgow, and son William Inglis aged 1, of Glasgow.

He lived in 511, Bellgrove Street, St John Glasgow, High Church, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1871. Aged 38, Wright Employg 4 Men 2 Boys, of Glasgow. Living with him: daughter Issabella Inglis aged 12, Scholar, of Glasgow, son William Inglis aged 11, Scholar, of Glasgow, son Archibald Inglis aged 9, Scholar, of Glasgow, and mother-in-law Isabella Gall aged 68, widow Victualler, of Cambuslang, Lanarkshire.

Also, in 1871, his wife, Isabella, son James (c1868) and daughter Emily (c1870) were living in Inglis Cottage, Dunoon and Kilmun, Argyllshire, Scotland with his brother William Inglis aged 52, Feuar (Retired), of Glasgow. [1]

He lived in Emily Place, 10, City Parish, Dennistoun, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1881. Aged 46, Joiner Carpenter Employing 9 Men, of Glasgow. Living with him: wife Isabella Inglis aged 44, of Glasgow, daughter Isabella Inglis aged 22, unmarried, of Glasgow, son William Inglis aged 21, unmarried Carpenter & Joiner, of Glasgow, son Archibald Inglis aged 19, unmarried Carpenter & Joiner, of Glasgow, son James Inglis aged 13, Scholar, of Glasgow, daughter Jessie Inglis aged 9, Scholar, of Glasgow, and daughter Jane Inglis aged 3, of Glasgow.
